Position: Analyst, Health & Benefits Consulting

HUB International’s National Accounts Team delivers innovative and customized employee benefits solutions across Canada. The team partners with organizations of all sizes to help attract, retain, and support employees through plan design, cost management, and wellness initiatives.

About the Role

As an Analyst in Health & Benefits Consulting, you will analyze data, respond to client inquiries, and provide strategic support to solve complex group benefits problems. You will collaborate closely with the analytical team, consultants, and clients to drive meaningful outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct day‑to‑day problem solving support for clients’ group benefits programs.
  • Support client communication through drafting formal letters, reports, and facilitating virtual and in‑person meetings.
  • Perform data entry for quarterly and annual financial analysis across diverse industry sectors.
  • Conduct renewal analysis, negotiate fees and rates with carriers in alignment with department strategy.
  • Review insurance contracts and financial statements.
  • Assist the lead consultant in managing projects, conducting research, and deriving conclusions from client and market data.
  • Represent HUB and its values in all client interactions, including meetings, events, and presentations.
  • Handle confidential information in compliance with HUB’s privacy and confidentiality agreement.
Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary degree in Commerce, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, or Human Resources.
  • 1–2 years of professional experience as an analyst or in a corporate setting; employee benefits experience is an asset.
  • Completion of courses related to group benefits (e.g., CEBS) is not required but considered an asset.
  • LLQP certification is considered an asset; non‑certified candidates must be willing to obtain it within the first year.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication, project management, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced growth environment.

Compensation

The expected salary range is $55,000 to $60,000, influenced by skills, experience, working location, and position specifics. The role may include additional benefits such as extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid‑time‑off, bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
