Consultant, Strategy and Execution - Deal Management (Vancouver)

EY-Parthenon seeks a Consultant in Vancouver to support clients across the pre‑ and post‑deal lifecycle, including due diligence, carve‑out planning, integration and value realization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integration strategy, planning, and execution by providing project management support and executive communication.
  • Carve‑out or divestiture strategy, planning, and execution, supporting operating model design, and transaction services agreement development.
  • Synergy/value realization identification, validation and tracking.
  • Development of Transitional Services Agreements.
  • Development of M&A and integration playbooks.
  • Support client engagement teams executing integration or carve‑out services.
  • Support key client decision makers in developing and executing their transaction strategy to secure deal value.
  • Assist in identifying risks and issues related to integration planning, timelines, and functional areas.

  • Qualifications:
    • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, PMP, CMC) or completion of necessary hours.
    • Preferred: 3 years of related work experience.
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; assess complex situations and formulate solutions.
    • Experience in financial statement analysis, risk assessment, and process improvement (asset).
    • Effective organization and time‑management skills to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements or scopes and deliver results under tight deadlines.
    • Excellent written communication, with ability to write reports and presentations concisely.
    • Experience presenting findings to senior stakeholders (valued).
    • Confident communicator to clients at all levels, with strong presentation delivery and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment.
    • Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
    • Authority to travel within Canada and the US (must be authorized to work in Canada).
  • Ideally, you will also have:
    • Experience in audit, assurance, or related fields (asset).
    • Previous M&A experience (asset).
    • Interest and passion for digital, technology, and new business building topics.
