Reporting to the Vice President, External Affairs and Communications, the Economist manages the BC Check-Up analysis and CPABC's budget submissions. With a strong emphasis on translating complex economic data into accessible content, you will develop editorial insights that promote CPABC as a leader in economic discourse. Your contributions support significant policy recommendations and enhance engagement with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and enhance economic indicators and benchmarks
• Create editorial content for CPABC’s thought leadership
• Manage BC Check-Up surveys and analyze economic trends
• Prepare CPABC's budget submission with actionable recommendations
• Oversee media relations and coordinate newsletters
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related field
• Minimum three years’ experience in public policy development
• Strong research skills in economic analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to synthesize large data sets effectively
