Infant Toddler Educator

About the Position

Under the general guidance of the Early Years Coordinator and the Infant Team Lead, the infant Early Childhood Educator will provide responsive, caring and high quality programming inspired by the BC Early Learning Framework. Educators nurture strong caring relationships with the children, families and colleagues, and implement high standards of care and supervision that promote wellbeing of all children.

This position works primeraly with the infant room and support the toddler room.

• Valid BC Post-Basic Infant Toddler Educatior Certificate required
• Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in licensed childcare.
• Strong knowledge of the BC Early Learning Framework, RIE, Pikler and the Reggio Emilia Approach.
• Understanding and commitment to creating inclusive spaces.
• Understanding of the BC Child Care Licensing Regulation.
• Strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent and proficient oral and written communication.
• Passion and commitment for ongoing professional development and growth
• Creativity, critical thinking, flexibility and sense of humour.
