Vancouver School Board seeks dedicated individuals for On-Call Supervision Aide roles in East and West Side schools. This position includes supervising students during their breaks, ensuring safe play, and assisting in conflict resolution. Flexibility is key, with shifts available Monday to Friday for a minimum of three days each week.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee student behavior during breaks
• Ensure compliance with school guidelines
• Address potential safety issues and mediate conflicts
• Help with fulfilling teacher-assigned tasks during breaks
• Maintain awareness of surroundings while supervising
Requirements:
• Proven experience working with children in groups
• Solid communication capabilities
• Strong skills in conflict resolution
• Willingness to work outdoors under different weather conditions
• Familiarity with languages common among ESL students is advantageous
