We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Environment Modeler to join us on our next project – Hexed.

Responsibilities- Build complex set and prop models with organized, efficient, polygonal topology including: vehicles, buildings, plant life, terrain and complete set environments. Models will need to be constructed to account for mechanical articulation when necessary.
- Complete organization and packaging of assets for efficient downstream consumption.
- Work well in a collaborative environment.
- Address direction and feedback from Leads, Supervisors and Directors.
- Consistently achieve the overall appeal of the model.
- Independently translate designs with minimal oversight while maintaining fidelity to proportion, style, and silhouette.
- Produce models that go beyond initial design.
- Use consistent shape language throughout the model.
- Own assignments, actions and decisions made during development, and follow through to completion.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3‑5 years of Animation, VFX, or Video Game industry experience modeling in Maya.
- Understanding of ZBrush/MuDBox.
- Demonstrates ability to learn new toolsets and willing to expand knowledge.
- Ability to translate 2D artwork to 3D models.
- Experience creating stylized environments and props.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Proven ability to be detail‑oriented and work efficiently within a production environment.
- Must be able to work in a collaborative environment, taking direction from Supervisors and feedback from the Art Director and Directors.
- Able to use all Environment tools to create models that meet show expectations.
- Layout experience a plus.
- Experience with 3D modeling, set dressing and presentation tools such as Houdini, Blender a plus.
- Experience with procedural vegetation tools like Speedtree a plus.
- Previous experience with traditional 3D sculpting a plus.
- Scripting (Python) background a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

The hiring range for this position in British Columbia, Canada is C $90,400 to C $150,500 CAD per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A full range of medical, financial, and other variable pay or benefits may be offered dependent on the level and position offered.
