Position: Hybrid Crowd Technical Director Role
Join ILM as a Hybrid Crowd Technical Director in Vancouver, where you will create engaging crowd simulations for dynamic CG scenes across various environments. Your expertise will enhance storytelling through targeted crowd choreography.

In this role, you will utilize Houdini to manage crowd behavior and develop innovative workflows while addressing artistic and technical challenges. Key Responsibilities:

• Choreograph crowd behavior to meet artistic direction

• Oversee motion cycles and create blending cycles

• Create and modify internal HDAs in Houdini

• Use character variations to create diverse crowd visuals

• Troubleshoot technical issues within the pipeline

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Houdini Software and Linux

• In-depth knowledge of cinematic principles and composition

• Background in high-end VFX or animated features

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities

• Great communication skills under pressure
