Position: Top Prospect Internship Program

The Top Prospects internship program is designed to give university students in their final year of study or recent university graduates an immersive, eight‑month look at what it is like to work in the professional sports industry while gaining valuable hands‑on experience. Once scouting is complete this off‑season, our rookies will join the team for training camp starting on September 1, 2026, and will conclude their terms on April 30, 2027.

All internships are onsite at our office right next to Rogers Arena in downtown Vancouver.

Business Intelligence

Our BI team works closely with ticketing, marketing, and partnership departments. They develop reports, analyze results, provide CRM support, and give data‑driven recommendations. Example projects include managing ticket inventory, survey planning, and fan insight reports. Experience with Excel, SQL, and Python is required.

Communications

The Communications department supports all Canucks Sports & Entertainment communication efforts, leading media relations and ensuring consistent messaging. Communications interns set up media areas on game days, monitor coverage, compile data, create media credentials, and contribute to materials such as game‑day lineups. They must work game nights as needed and demonstrate strong written communication skills.

Community Engagement & Social Impact

This team connects with fans and partners with community initiatives such as Canucks for Kids Fund and the Canucks Autism Network. Interns support community events, minor hockey programs at Rogers Arena, and donation programs. They will work community events, game nights, and weekends as needed. Experience with Excel is required; skating ability is an asset.

Content

The Content team develops content for the website and social media. The Content Intern assists with shooting video, editing features, recording media availabilities, and acting as a production assistant. Experience with Sony cameras and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere or Final Cut/DaVinci) is required. The intern will work game nights and support the Abbotsford Canucks and Vancouver Warriors.

Event Services

The Event Services intern plans and manages small events at Rogers Arena, prepares documentation, reviews reports, and follows up on action items. Opportunity to shadow Event Managers on large‑scale events. The intern will work event nights and weekends as needed, starting in August 2026.

Fan Services

Part of Event Services, Fan Services ensures the best fan experience at games and concerts. The Fan Services Intern assists with tours, the Canucks Kids Club, event services marketing, and fan inquiries. The intern will work event nights and weekends as needed, starting in August 2026.

Finance

The Finance Intern shadows senior finance members, processes invoices, verifies expense reports, updates balance‑sheet reconciliation papers, and completes bank reconciliations.

Graphic Design

Designers create internal and fan‑facing creative across media. The Design Intern collaborates with Creative and Marketing on ad designs, asset versioning, and file preparation. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud is required. Submit an online portfolio for review.

Information Technology

The IT intern helps set up equipment for new employees, monitors computer inventory, and provides first‑level support. They contribute to special IT projects and work event nights as needed.

Marketing

Marketing leads collateral development and execution supporting all CSE teams. Marketing Interns support campaigns for the Vancouver Canucks, Vancouver Warriors, and Abbotsford Canucks. Tasks include tracking project progress on Wrike, executing event emails, and collaborating with stakeholders.

Partnership Marketing

The Partnership Marketing team works with the Partnership Sales team to execute activations. Interns help bring activations to life, set up and tear down on event days, build partner reports, coordinate events, and work game nights as needed.

People & Scheduling
