Become a critical voice at City News Vancouver as a live newscast host and reporter. This fast-paced role is focused on delivering news and requires flexibility for various shifts, including weekends.
This position allows you to host 24/7 newscasts and take the lead on breaking news stories. You’ll conduct interviews, collaborate with editorial teams, and write engaging scripts. Available as a full-time role, you’ll need to be prepared for shift work during early mornings, evenings, and weekends to ensure news is delivered promptly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Host live newscasts and contribute to streaming services
• Lead breaking news coverage with a team approach
• Conduct daily newsmaker interviews and write scripts
• Work with editorial leads for daily news production
• Produce stories in the field when required
Requirements:
• Experience hosting live broadcasts and breaking news
• Strong on-air presentation and storytelling skills
• Understanding of multi-platform news reporting
• Excellent multitasking abilities under pressure
• Willingness to adapt to evening and weekend shifts
