Position: Sony Imageworks Layout Artist Opportunity
Shape dynamic visuals as a Layout Artist with Sony Pictures Imageworks in Vancouver. You'll generate captivating 3D sequences that support narrative storytelling in a collaborative setting.

As a full-time Layout Artist, your responsibilities will include translating sketches into detailed 3D shots and determining optimal camera setups. This role requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of cinematographic principles to ensure artistic integrity. Work closely with the production team to solve creative challenges and adhere to project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate sketches and storyboards to 3D layouts

• Determine effective camera composition and angles

• Create character and set layouts, including effects

• Support animation with rough pre-visuals as needed

• Attend team reviews and contribute insightful feedback

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of relevant experience considered

• Required experience with Maya;
Unreal Engine 5.x is a plus

• Strong understanding of camera techniques and organization

• Knowledge of motion capture technology beneficial

• Ability to troubleshoot within the artistic process
