Position: Senior Character FX Artist Role

Sony Pictures Imageworks, located on traditional lands, seeks candidates with at least 3 years of relevant experience in character FX. In this role, you will create animations and models for character features, ensuring high-quality output. Your technical skills in Maya and various scripting languages will drive the development process while adhering to team deadlines and participating in constructive reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop character features using advanced simulations

• Create and refine models for hair, fur, and cloth

• Collaborate in daily reviews and production meetings

• Streamline processes with utility scripts

• Problem-solve with production peers and supervisors

Requirements:

• 3+ years of character FX experience in production

• Strong knowledge of Maya and UNIX systems

• Proficiency in scripting languages (MEL, Python, Perl)

• Ability to implement notes and feedback accurately

• Ready to present a demo reel showcasing expertise
