This role is considered Hybrid, which means the employee will work 2-3 days onsite at a Company designated location and occasionally from home.
Position SummaryThe Industrial Light & Magic, Ltd, Vancouver, Production Assistant is an entry-level position that provides administrative and backup support to the production team while providing an opportunity to learn about the production environment and process at ILM.

What You’ll Do- Assist and support the Producer, Production Manager and Production Coordinators in day to day activities, general production errands and tasks
- Facilitate smooth and efficient dailies sessions by:
- Enter client and/or dailies notes into Shotgrid.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding receipt and delivery of media and/or meeting scheduling.
- Maintain crew lists and current information for the Production web page (intranet).
- Upload and download of client media utilizing a variety of software.
- Create, update and maintain VFX show calendar including dailies, meetings, etc.
- Responsible for the ordering, delivery, and clean up of meals as needed. On a rotation with the entire PA team to manage orders, reception, distribution and clean-up of overtime (OT) meals to crew working late and weekends, when necessary
- Also tasked with planning and executing thematic crew parties as needed.
- Collects, manages petty cash, receipts as well as expense reports, works with VFX Production Accountant to keep expenses updated.
- May be required to coordinate travel arrangements.
- Bachelor’s degree in film production or equivalent preferred

The hiring range for this position in Vancouver is C $42,400 to $54,100 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
A full range of medical, financial, and/or other variable pay or benefits, may be offered dependent on the level and position offered.
