Who We Are
lululemon is an innovative performance apparel company for yoga, running, training, and other athletic pursuits. Setting the bar in technical fabrics and functional design, we create transformational products and experiences that support people in moving, growing, connecting, and being well. We owe our success to our innovative product, emphasis on stores, commitment to our people, and the incredible connections we make in every community we're in.
As a company, we focus on creating positive change to build a healthier, thriving future. In particular, that includes creating an equitable, inclusive and growth-focused environment for our people.
We’re looking for a Senior Copywriter to help us craft our brand’s strategies into remarkable, irresistible creative concepts and head-turning copy. In this role, you’ll need to be a master of absorbing product knowledge and guest research—then translating it into human, evocative phrases and ideas that resonate with people across North America. If you become part of the team, you’ll be bringing enthusiasm alongside your experience, and will be open to learning new ways of doing things, even as you explore new territories and methods for us as a team.
You’ll be working with one of the most talented internal design organizations anywhere. And you’ll be operating in cooperation with both our incredible business partners and top-flight agencies to create moments of real impact. Lastly, but not surprisingly, we’re big on being active around here. So, expect an exercise class or two between meetings.

- Formulate presentation decks for internal and external review.
- Present effectively, both for internal creative and cross-functional project reviews.
- Execute on campaigns from concept stage to completion, across all channels.
- Understand the structure of a brand’s identity—how the visual and verbal executions come together to create a holistic brand experience.
- Be up to date with industry trends, including ground-breaking ideas, emerging technologies, and business solutions.
- Provide effective direction through all phases of production—internally and with external partners.
- Mentor and ideate with junior creative team members.
- A degree within a writing-based discipline (journalism, advertising, creative writing, etc.) preferred or 2 extra years’ experience in lieu of a relevant degree.
- 5+ years of professional copywriting experience.
- 2+ years of experience working on national or global brands.
- 2+ years of experience concepting for web, digital, mobile, social, experiential, and both traditional and emerging platforms.
- Must have a portfolio of work demonstrating ideas and copy across various media.
- Ability to write to a brand’s tone of voice, and subtly flex that tone for message and medium.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse writing demands.
- Demonstrated and extraordinary communication skills and a meticulous eye for detail.
- Acknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for your life.
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovate to achieve great results.
- Communicate with honesty and kindness and create the space for others to do the same.
- Lead with courage, knowing the possibility of greatness is bigger than the fear of failure.
- Foster connection by putting people first and building trusting relationships.
- Integrate fun and joy as a way of being and working, aka doesn’t take yourself too seriously.
