Job Overview
At Anthem, we are seeking a Manager, Tax to join our Finance team. You will work on tax matters related to real estate, continuously improving the tax function, and collaborate with a high‑performing team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, maintain, update, and manage tax working papers for multiple entities, including continuity and reconciliation schedules.
- Research and resolve discrepancies between tax balances and accounting balances.
- Prepare corporate and partnership tax returns, elections, forms, and regulatory filings.
- Prepare responses to inquiries and requests of tax authorities.
- Be responsible for preparation of tax provision working paper and tax estimate calculations.
- Assist in performing and documenting tax planning, research, and analysis.
- Assist in corresponding with investors for tax‑related questions.
- Assist in designing and implementing tax working papers and improving tax processes.
- Assist with ad hoc tax or accounting projects.
- A desire to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced setting.

- Experience working with large corporate groups, as an external advisor or in‑house staff.
- A professional accounting designation.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a tax‑related role.
- Familiarity with Tax Prep (preferred) or similar tax software.
- Advanced Excel and Word skills.
- Solid written and verbal English skills.
- Real estate tax experience (an asset).
- Public practice tax experience (an asset).
Compensation & Contract Pay range: $100,000 - $125,000 per annum, depending on experience.
This is a 12-month contract with the prospect to extend up to 16 months.
