Wealth Management Associate Program – Private Banking is a salaried development program aimed at developing sales and entrepreneurial‑minded individuals into a private banking role. The program offers a strong foundation on building core credit underwriting and relationship management skills.
Qualifications- Completing a master’s degree by January 2027 or a recent graduate with less than 5 years of experience and a passion for helping others achieve financial goals.
- Excited about building a long‑term career in Credit Advisory.
- Natural curiosity, thoughtful, collaborative, enjoys solving problems that matter to people.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and enjoy connecting with others.
- Strong communication skills – listening, asking great questions, expressing ideas clearly.
- Adaptable, open to feedback, motivated to grow.
- Organized, proactive, comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Entrepreneurial‑minded and energized by helping clients navigate important life decisions in a credit advisory capacity.
- Positive and resilient when faced with challenges.
- Ability to influence, persuade, and build consensus.
- Relationship management skills; ability to build and maintain strong collaborative client and internal/external partner relationships.

- A comprehensive training and development experience that provides a thorough understanding of Scotiabank’s Private Banking and Wealth Advisory businesses and Total Wealth approach, supported through formal web‑based and in‑person training, on‑the‑job learning, educational events, professional development opportunities, and ongoing mentorship throughout the program.
- Opportunities within e credit advisory businesses to gain exposure as to how these areas apply to an overall wealth strategy for a client’s life.
- Placement in a Private Banking office to work with wealth teams to gain relevant, practical experience, complementary training, and support to help prepare you to attain licensing requirements associated with transitioning into a Wealth Management role.
- Ongoing support during the program through various touchpoints with the Program Lead, Total Wealth Planning leaders, and your local Manager.
