As an Associate Mortgage Underwriter reporting to the Manager of Third Party Residential Underwriting, you will interface with mortgage brokers and external partners. Your responsibilities include collecting required documentation, verifying accuracy, and escalating any issues that may pose a risk. This position is essential for maintaining compliance and facilitating efficient workflows in the underwriting process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain positive relationships with mortgage brokers

• Collect accurate documentation to satisfy mortgage conditions

• Review documentation related to income and property

• Document clear notes in the underwriting system

• Respond to inquiries within turnaround times

Requirements:

• Completed post-secondary education or equivalent experience

• Previous financial services experience preferred

• Working knowledge of PC software in a Windows environment

• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to manage pressure in high-volume processing
