Assistant Controller

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an  Assistant Controller  at our studio in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. They will collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, as well as assist in streamlining and improving financial processes and systems.

Qualifications

Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

Strong understanding of accounting principles, compliance, and internal controls

Experience with financial software and tools, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

CPA designation or equivalent is highly desirable

Experience in the creative or design industry is an asset

Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

We carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine annual fair market compensation including your specific responsibilities, skills, and experience. The annual range for this role is  $85,000-$105,000 CAD . Extended health benefits are available for eligible employees as well as paid vacation, statutory holidays and sick days. These benefits change from time-to-time at the employer’s discretion.
