Vancouver Intermediate Accountant

Position: Vancouver Intermediate Accountant Role
Join an established team as an Intermediate Accountant in Vancouver, BC. This full-time position involves preparing financial statements, performing audits, and conducting account reconciliations to support business functions.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager and Director of Finance, the successful candidate will analyze income statements, help coordinate departmental budgets, and generate various reports. This role emphasizes critical analytical skills and collaboration across departments to enhance the financial close process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and prepare departmental income statements against budgets

• Assist with annual financial closing processes

• Manage capital assets, amortizations, and reconciliations

• Participate in revenue recognition automation initiatives

• Lead audits of invoices, expenses, and credits

Requirements:

• BA in Business Administration focusing on accounting

• 1-2 years in public accounting or 3-5 years in general accounting

• Intermediate MS Excel proficiency

• Knowledge of Syte Line is preferred

• Strong communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
