Contribute to financial excellence at UBC as a Senior Financial Specialist. This role supports the Faculty of Applied Science with a focus on research grants and diverse financial operations.
In this management role, you will provide financial advice and coordinate day-to-day operations for various academic units. Your expertise will help ensure compliance and improve financial processes across UBC’s comprehensive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage research account administration and support faculty
• Analyze financial records to identify discrepancies
• Train staff on financial processes and systems
• Monitor budget forecasts and variances
• Liaise with various finance departments for issue resolution
Requirements:
• CPA Level 2 and Diploma in Accounting preferred
• Minimum four years of relevant financial experience
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience with financial tools like Workday
