Position: Controller Role with FIRST UNITED Charity
Enhance finance operations at FIRST UNITED as a Controller, directly contributing to the financial stability of an impactful organization. This role focuses on financial compliance and reporting, primarily in Vancouver, BC.

FIRST UNITED is seeking a Controller to reinforce financial operations and strengthen accounting processes within the organization.

Your role will involve managing financial records, conducting reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of budgets and reports. You will work closely with the Senior Director, Finance & Administration to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting practices in service to the community's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a comprehensive system of accounting records

• Prepare monthly department financial reports

• Ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting

• Conduct bank reconciliations and manage cash flow

• Collaborate with external parties for financial audits

Requirements:

• 3-5 years in a finance/accounting role in mid-sized organizations

• CPA registration completed or underway

• Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting

• Experience with fund accounting for non-profits

• Strong Quick Books Online skills
