Join UBC Vancouver as a Financial Assistant, delivering tailored financial assistance to the Department of Psychology. This full-time position requires strong customer service and financial processing skills, focusing on budget support.
In this role, you will collaborate with an administrative team dedicated to supporting faculty and graduate students within the Department of Psychology. Your tasks will include preparing financial reports, processing transactions in Workday, and assisting with grant inquiries. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with university policies and foster effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and process complex financial reports and documents
• Resolve financial discrepancies independently
• Interpret university policies for faculty and staff inquiries
• Monitor funding assessments for research grants
• Assist in drafting departmental finance policies
Requirements:
• High school graduation and accounting diploma
• Minimum three years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices
• Ability to function independently and in teams
