Position: Senior Analyst, Actuarial )

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range (35‑hour workweek): CAD 87,200 – 106,600. Annual bonus target up to 10% of base salary, potentially up to double the target based on performance. Employee Share Purchase Plan matching 50% of net shares. Pension plan offering guaranteed income for life. Additional benefits include flexible work arrangements, hybrid model, up to 5 extra days off per year, telemedicine, wellness account, and wellness plan.

Responsibilities
  • Resolve complex problems and share actuarial knowledge with colleagues.
  • Work autonomously on challenging, strategic projects in areas such as rate making, reinsurance, corporate planning, data science, reserving, and more.
  • Drive change by improving work processes and making substantial observations, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Help guide and prioritize the team’s work and coach effectively to strengthen both individual and group success.
  • Share analysis conclusions and recommendations with stakeholders within established timelines.
Qualifications
  • University degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Certifications in Mathematics, Actuarial, ACAS preferred.
  • 3+ years of actuarial experience (preferably in the P&C Insurance sector).
  • Good knowledge of Python, VBA, R or SAS.
  • No Canadian work experience required; must be eligible to work in Canada.
Desirable Competencies

  • Critical thinking, stellar communication, planning and organizing.
  • Team oriented.
