Finance Manager at Battered Women’s Support Services

Lead the financial operations at Battered Women’s Support Services as a Finance Manager. This office-based role requires expertise in accounting, payroll processing, budgeting, and compliance reporting.

As the Finance Manager, you will ensure accurate bookkeeping, prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, and oversee accounts payable and receivable. You will play a pivotal role in supporting BWSS's mission by providing key financial insights that drive decision-making. A strong background in the not-for-profit sector is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end and year-end financial statement preparation

• Monitor cash flows and manage petty cash

• Prepare annual audit documentation and liaise with auditors

• Ensure compliance with tax filings and reporting requirements

• Process payroll and manage employee benefits

Requirements:

• Post-secondary certification in accounting or bookkeeping

• Experience with payroll in a unionized setting

• Proficient in SAGE 500 and advanced Excel

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Clearance required
