Director of Tax at Northland Properties

Join Northland Properties Corporation as the Director of Tax, leading the global tax function across our hospitality group. You will ensure compliance and strategy for all tax matters, both Canadian and international.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this senior role manages tax compliance activities and oversees the preparation of tax returns. You will collaborate with various internal stakeholders and handle relationships with tax authorities. Your expertise will drive tax planning, optimize tax positions, and coach junior staff, enhancing the overall finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage tax compliance and ensure timely filing of returns

• Lead preparation and review of corporate tax documentation

• Maintain tax authority relationships and manage audits

• Collaborate with finance team and external consultants

• Drive continuous process improvements and efficiencies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration

• 8–10 years of multinational tax experience

• CPA or equivalent tax certification preferred

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Willingness to learn and manage staff effectively
