Job DescriptionAs a Personal Banker Trainee you will provide sound financial planning advice, promote customer loyalty, and support customers in achieving their financial goals.
Responsibilities- Advise customers on high-level financial solutions, including investment and credit banking options.
- Engage with customers, ask thoughtful questions, and create positive experiences to deepen relationships.
- Increase customer financial confidence by providing personalized advice and addressing concerns.
- Act as a point of contact for frontline staff handling customer problems.
- Maintain professional space in common areas per marketing and regulatory guidelines.
- Work closely with customers to provide financial reviews and suggest personalized solutions.
- Stay knowledgeable about emerging issues, evolving regulations, and industry codes of conduct; participate in process improvement.
- Strive to meet and improve service level agreements and productivity targets.
- Ensure documents comply with relevant regulations and accurately reflect business intentions.
- Collaborate fully as a team member, mentor others, and address communication issues effectively.
- High school diploma and/or 1 year of relevant experience.
- Post-Secondary or undergraduate degree in a related field is an asset.
- Completion of IFIC or equivalent required.
- CFSA must be completed within 12 months if hired.
- Experience in real estate secured lending and/or investment is an asset.
- Sound knowledge of advanced investing and credit processes and banking solutions.
- Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications.
- Tactful communicator who can exchange ideas concisely and logically.
- Self-initiator with strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
This role requires mobility within the assigned district. Upon completing training, you may be assigned to a compatible position, potentially involving transfer and relocation within the region.
