As a Senior Financial Specialist, you will enhance the financial operations within Physician and Academic Business Services (PABS) at BC Children’s Hospital. Focus areas include analyzing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and providing guidance on financial policies. You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining compliance with university and governmental policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and plan clearance of departmental over-expenditures

• Maintain billing summaries and reconcile variances monthly

• Enter and compile data for departmental financial reports

• Support Accounts Receivable by preparing invoices and investigating exceptions

• Train new staff while developing training materials

Requirements:

• Certificate in Accounting or Payroll CPA Level 1

• Minimum four years of relevant experience

• Experience with ERP systems is preferred

• Ability to work well under pressure

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
