Position: BW Gold Capital Accountant Role
Elevate your finance career with an exciting Capital Accountant role at BW Gold, where your skills in budgeting and compliance will shine in the mining sector. This position is highly collaborative, supporting projects at the Blackwater Mine in British Columbia.

Reporting directly to the Mine Controller, the Capital Accountant will focus on capital budgeting and expense monitoring. You'll be integral in preparing detailed financial reports and managing the AFE process to ensure all expenditures comply with strict regulations. Your analytical capabilities will assist in financial forecasting and project decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing the annual capital budget

• Coordinate the Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) process

• Prepare capital spending reports and variances

• Monitor project expenses and recommend budget adjustments

• Ensure adherence to financial reporting standards

Requirements:

• 2-4 years experience in finance or accounting

• Technical knowledge of capital budgeting

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• Familiarity with Canadian GAAP/IFRS

• Adaptable in a fast-paced environment
