Position: West Schools Finance Manager Role
West Vancouver Schools seeks a Finance Manager to lead financial operations and enhance reporting accuracy. This role focuses on innovative finance practices and team leadership.

As a pivotal member of the Finance Team, you'll report directly to the Director of Finance. The Finance Manager will supervise the accounts payable and receivable cycles while managing cash flow and preparatory financial reporting. Your expertise will be essential in advancing the finance department’s effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise unionized finance staff and ensure compliance

• Administer the full cycle of financial processes and audits

• Monitor cash flow and manage signing authorities

• Prepare financial statements and documentation for government

• Improve finance processes aligned with industry standards

Requirements:

• Three years' experience in financial management required

• Demonstrated leadership in unionized settings preferred

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Previous experience in educational finance is a plus

• Familiarity with ERP systems helpful
