As an Associate Mortgage Underwriter reporting to the Manager, you will support the underwriting process by reviewing documentation and ensuring compliance.

Your role is crucial in identifying discrepancies and addressing concerns that pose risk to the Company. Build relationships with mortgage brokers and external partners while maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify mortgage documentation with due diligence

• Maintain positive relationships with mortgage brokers and partners

• Escalate documentation issues for thorough review

• Document clear notes within the underwriting system

• Ensure compliance with AML policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience

• Previous financial services or mortgage experience preferred

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and high volumes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
