TELUS Health is looking for an Associate Partner to lead its actuarial practice within Retirement Consulting. The role requires strategic thinking, business development skills, and strong client‑centric leadership to drive growth and deliver high‑quality actuarial consulting services in the defined benefit pension space.
What you’ll do- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities, drive revenue growth, and expand the firm’s presence in the market.
- Provide strategic consulting on retirement plan design, funding assessment, risk analysis, investment strategy, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead team engagement by mentoring, coaching, and sharing technical expertise to foster professional development and teamwork.
- 15+ years of experience in pension plan consulting.
- Professional actuarial designation such as FCIA, ASA or FSA.
- Strong client relationship management, often with C‑suite executives, operating on a trusted‑advisor model.
- Deep understanding of actuarial principles, financial markets, and emerging industry trends.
- Proven ability to identify business opportunities, drive revenue growth, and meet budget and profitability targets.
- Leadership and mentorship experience that ensures high‑quality deliverables and a collaborative team culture.
- Ability to understand client needs, provide strategic guidance, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with expertise in mathematical models and statistical analysis.
- Excellent communication skills for clearly conveying complex actuarial concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Continuous learning mindset, staying updated with the latest developments in actuarial science and industry trends.
Nice to have:
Bilingual in English and French.
Salary Range: $160,000 – $210,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on knowledge, skills, performance and experience).
