Position: Residential Mortgage Underwriter Role
Join First National as a Residential Mortgage Underwriter, where you’ll play a key role in third-party underwriting for residential mortgages. Your expertise will shape the financial futures of many by processing mortgage applications efficiently.

This full-time position involves reviewing and rendering credit decisions for incoming mortgage applications. Reporting to the Manager, you will ensure adherence to guidelines while building loyalty with mortgage brokers and external partners.

Your role focuses on accuracy, compliance, and high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish positive relationships with mortgage brokers

• Maintain communication with appraisers and insurers

• Review applications ensuring policy adherence

• Prepare commitments with conditions as required

• Prioritize applications to manage workflow

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of mortgage underwriting experience

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to resolve conflicts effectively

• Familiarity with PC software in Windows

• BCFSA License completion is a plus
