Controller & Finance Leader in BC

Join a well-capitalized junior mining company as a Controller & Finance Director through Horizon Recruitment in British Columbia. Lead financial operations and create an impactful finance function.

This pivotal role, reporting to the CFO, involves establishing the financial framework necessary for growth. You will manage the transition from quarterly to monthly reporting, enhance financial controls, and build a cohesive accounting team. Direct engagement with operational leaders will ensure financial practices align with business goals as the organization evolves.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement monthly financial reporting cycles

• Strengthen financial reporting and internal controls

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations

• Collaborate with external partners for accuracy

• Provide financial insights to operational leaders

Requirements:

• CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience

• Experience in public company reporting mandatory

• Mining experience is preferred

• Strong understanding of financial systems and reporting
