Mortgage Underwriter Associate - Team Player

In this full-time position, you will report to the Manager of Third Party Residential Underwriting, assisting in the evaluation and documentation process. You’ll work closely with mortgage brokers and other key external partners to ensure all conditions are met. Your analytical skills will be essential in identifying any issues promptly while providing excellent service under tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interact with mortgage brokers for document collection
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and AML practices
• Escalate discrepancies for further action
• Keep accurate records in the mortgage underwriting system
• Respond to inquiries within established time frames
Requirements:
• Completion of post-secondary education or relevant experience
• Previous work in financial services or mortgage sectors preferred
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Capable of managing high-pressure situations
• Familiarity with Windows-based software
