Insight Global is seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Recovery & Restructuring to join a financial services growing advisory practice. This individual will lead engagements involving financially distressed businesses, helping organizations, lenders, creditors, and stakeholders navigate complex restructuring and insolvency situations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate insolvency, business turnarounds, debt restructuring, and formal insolvency proceedings. This person will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while providing leadership to internal teams and driving business development efforts.
Responsibilities- Lead corporate recovery, restructuring, and insolvency engagements for clients experiencing financial distress
- Assess operational, strategic, and financial challenges facing businesses and develop turnaround recommendations
- Conduct financial analysis, review accounting records, and build financial models to evaluate business performance and restructuring options
- Advise lenders, creditors, shareholders, and business owners on recovery strategies, restructurings, refinancings, bankruptcies, liquidations, and turnaround opportunities
- Manage formal insolvency appointments, including bankruptcies, receiverships, proposals, CCAA proceedings, and liquidations
- Prepare and review insolvency-related legal and regulatory documentation in accordance with applicable legislation
- Develop and maintain relationships with lenders, insolvency lawyers, private capital providers, and senior business leaders
- Oversee engagement planning, project execution, budgets, billing, and overall client service delivery
- Identify risks and provide strategic recommendations to improve financial and operational performance
- Participate in business development initiatives, networking activities, and proposal development
- Mentor and manage junior team members, providing coaching, feedback, and professional development support
- Contribute to practice growth, process improvements, and strategic planning initiatives
- 5+ years of corporate insolvency, restructuring, turnaround, or recovery experience
- Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) designation
- Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) designation
- Strong understanding of any common law jurisdiction insolvency legislation, including the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA)
- Experience leading restructuring, bankruptcy, receivership, or liquidation engagements
- Proven experience managing client relationships and leading project teams
- Experience working within a public accounting, restructuring, or advisory firm
- Existing relationships with lenders, legal professionals, or restructuring stakeholders
- Business development and practice growth experience

Pay range starting at $145,000/year.
