What You Will Do

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about learning the quantitative equity investment management business and excited to tackle a broad range of investment, mathematical, and technology challenges.

  • You will start with a comprehensive training program, learning about various elements of quantitative equity investment management.
  • You will then continue to a specialized group within our team based on a combination of your fit and preference.
  • Your specialized role may involve building, scaling, managing, monitoring, and/or trading our quantitative model and portfolios.
  • You will be supported with coaching and mentorship from senior members of the team.

Groups within our team where you can contribute and gain valuable experience include:

Investment Process Management

Our Investment Process Management (IPM) group plays a central role in building highly scalable, efficient, and robust process management systems. The processes and infrastructure we maintain are critical in the team’s ability to develop systematic investment insights and generate daily trades to capture these insights in portfolios.

Quantitative Research

Our Quantitative Research group focuses on generating investment ideas, testing these ideas through rigorous quantitative techniques, and ultimately developing the models that contribute to our stock forecasts. The group combines leading edge quantitative research with state-of-the-art technology to develop unique algorithmic investment strategies.

Portfolio Management consists of two functions:
Portfolio Construction and Market Implementation.

Our Portfolio Construction group aims to maximize the capture of investment insights in portfolios. The group focuses on developing advanced optimization and portfolio monitoring systems, along with resilient and efficient portfolio management capabilities. The group actively monitors markets and portfolio exposures to ensure a robust portfolio construction process, as well as to generate analysis in support of client and sales initiatives.

Our Market Implementation group strives to minimize market impact and maximize trading alpha capture through trading research, systematic execution, and strong external counter party relationships. The group integrates market structure expertise and trading insights to create optimal trading strategies for our daily portfolio rebalancing.

  • Academic Training
    – At a minimum, you are working towards an undergraduate degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or related discipline. Completion of CFA or relevant graduate degree is considered an asset.
  • Industry Experience
    – You havea passion for quantitative finance, equity investment, data science or related fields.

The monthly salary for this position is $11,000. Students in their final internship term are preferred.
