Location:
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Hours:
37.5 per week.
Pay Range: $50,000 – $100,000 CAD plus commission‑based earnings.
Line of Business: TD Wealth.
Role OverviewTD Wealth, Private Wealth Management (PWM) provides high‑net‑worth clients with holistic discovery and planning. The Developing Investment Advisor Program trains individuals in technical, financial, and interpersonal skills to build a successful client portfolio.
Accountabilities- Build a client base of HNW & UHNW clients, families, and business owners.
- Develop comprehensive wealth management and investment strategies based on client needs.
- Recommend portfolio construction, security selection, monitoring, and rebalancing.
- Action a business plan focused on building client base and market share through prospecting, marketing, and pipeline development.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to attract, acquire, retain customers and referrals.
- Take a OneTD approach by establishing beneficial relationships between clients and TD Partners.
- Protect the organization’s interests by identifying and managing risks effectively.
- Undergraduate degree in finance, business, economics, or related discipline.
- Licensed as a Registered Representative with CIRO.
- Professional designations such as CFP, CIM, and/or CFA are considered assets.
- 3+ years of experience in a client‑facing, sales or relationship‑focused role, ideally in a mutual fund or brokerage environment.
- Deep knowledge of the investment landscape, markets, and portfolio management.
- Curiosity and desire to stay on top of the latest trends and to be a thought leader.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven entrepreneurial experience and ability to prospect and manage client relationships.
- Comfort with compliance requirements and commitment to ethical client service.
- Life Insurance License (LLQP) must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
