Your Role in Supporting Our Members:As a Consultant, Enterprise Risk Management
, you will play a key role in advancing and maturing Vancity's enterprise risk management program. You will support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), Risk Appetite Framework (RAF), and other foundational risk management capabilities that strengthen risk-informed decision-making across the organization.
Working collaboratively with stakeholders across Vancity, you will help embed risk management practices, enhance risk reporting and oversight, and contribute to the development of a strong risk culture. We are seeking a proactive and influential risk professional who enjoys building and maturing risk management capabilities, driving change, and turning strategy into practical solutions.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at Vancity's Head Office

, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands.
- Support the implementation, embedding, and maturation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF).
- Coordinate annual reviews and updates to the ERMF to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and industry practices.
- Lead or support the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of enterprise risk management processes, tools, methodologies, and governance practices within an evolving risk management program.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to embed ERM practices and strengthen risk ownership and accountability.
- Drive the adoption of enterprise risk management practices through stakeholder engagement, training, communication, and change management activities.
- Support the implementation, embedding, and ongoing maturity of the Risk Appetite Framework (RAF).
- Monitor risk appetite limits and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), identifying emerging trends, concentrations, and breaches.
- Partner with business units to develop, refine, and maintain KRIs.
- Lead the preparation of quarterly enterprise risk reports, dashboards, and presentation materials for the Risk Management Committee (RMC) and Risk Committee (RC).
- Build and mature enterprise risk registers, risk taxonomy, risk acceptance processes, and other foundational ERM capabilities.
- Facilitate risk workshops and stakeholder discussions to identify, assess, and manage risks across the organization.
- Review and challenge New Initiative Risk Assessments (NIRAs) and significant business initiatives, providing independent risk oversight and supporting risk-informed decision-making.
- Monitor evolving regulatory expectations and emerging industry practices and assess potential impacts on the organization.
- Lead the annual risk management self-assessment process against applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist in preparing materials for regulatory reviews and audits.
