Downtown Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, North Van – majority of the time you will be offsite visiting hotels
Wages: $21 per hour + phone and gas allowance

At Big Bus Tours Vancouver Westcoast Sightseeing, we are hiring an In-Market Sales Coordinator to support our In-Market and Partnership Sales Manager with our Hotel Agents. You will be promoting our tours and attractions to hotel concierges and front desk teams, who in turn recommend and sell our services to guests from around the world. You will build and maintain partner relationships by visiting partnered hotels and agents across downtown Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, and North Vancouver.

This fast-paced role requires strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, organization skills, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills. A valid BC Driver’ License and access to a vehicle is required.

YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE
  • Managing agent accounts; including but not limited to setting up of new hotel accounts, training, troubleshooting technical difficulties, delivering commissions, assisting guest service inquiries and maintaining relationships
  • Assisting with planning and execution of trade shows, events and familiarization tours
  • Attending hotel affiliate events, functions and familiarization tours as a representative of BBTWCS
  • Conducting administrative duties; including commission reconciliation, CRM updates, email newsletter updates, and sales reporting
  • Preparing and delivery of marketing collateral (flat sheets, invitations) for agent program
  • Collaborating with the sales and marketing team to develop in-market strategies and plans; focusing on building long-term relationships and increasing overall sales
  • Acting as a Reservations Agent for our Agents program on mornings and weekends
WHAT WE WILL LIKE ABOUT YOU
  • You have previous experience working in a fast-paced sales/guest service/tourism/hospitality/relationship building environment
  • You work equally well independently and as part of a team
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and are quick learner
  • You have strong time management and organizational skills
  • You have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and active listening skills
  • You work well under pressure and possess strong attention to detail
  • You have a naturally friendly and outgoing personality, along with a professional attitude
  • You are fluent in English; a second language is an asset
  • A valid BC Driver’s License and access to a vehicle is required
  • You have strong knowledge of Downtown Vancouver and its surrounding areas
  • Graphic design skills are an asset
  • Event Management skills are an asset
