PositionResponsibilities
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Responsible for the general maintenance and repair of plumbing, fixtures, doors, windows, and their hardware, light and room fixtures, walls and wall coverings
- Repair and maintain HVAC units, makeup air units and maintain a regular schedule of filter changes
- Complete basic repairs to guest rooms and other areas of hotel, assist vendors with major repairs
- Complete routinely checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures
- Responsible for the storage and safekeeping handling of all tools, equipment, related parts and supplies
- Complete all assigned Preventative Maintenance Work Orders and Daily Work Orders in a timely manner
- Pressure wash, prepare, paint and decorate interior or exterior surfaces, as required
- Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, debris, spray and remove weeds, sweep and clean gutters)
- Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, and properly store flammable materials
- Troubleshoot and possibly repair to maintain building security
- Respond to emergency situations/events and maintenance requests as required
- Maintain cleanliness, organization and safety of the work areas
- Maintain inventory of essential tools and parts
- Other duties assigned
- Basic painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills
- Previous maintenance experience in hospitality is an asset
- Follow proper daily routine, continue with deep cleaning of the rooms and projects on yearly basis
- Must be self‑directed, motivated and demonstrates exceptional service
- Effectively troubleshoot, diagnose & rectify building related problems
- Excellent communication and organization skills with strong problem‑solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the business needs of a 24/7 hotel environment, including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Available for emergency calls
