Location

We are seeking an experienced Zone Supervisor for the BC Place Stadium. Sodexo Live! is the official supplier of food and beverage services to BC Place Stadium. BC Place is a multi‑purpose stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, owned and operated by the BC Pavilion Corporation, a Crown corporation of the province. Home to the BC Lions and Vancouver White Caps, the facility hosts hundreds of thousands of fans each year, creating significant economic activity for the Province.

Overview

The Zone Supervisor oversees multiple concession stands within an assigned area during live events. This role is responsible for leading Stand Leaders, ensuring operational readiness, maintaining food and alcohol compliance, and delivering high‑quality guest experience across all assigned locations. Zone Supervisors are trusted leaders who anticipate business needs, resolve issues in real time, and act as the primary link between frontline teams and management.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple concession stands within an assigned zone.
  • Ensure stands are fully prepared, organized and compliant prior to opening gates.
  • Monitor inventory levels and approve count adjustments as required.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies in collaboration with Stand Leaders.
  • Ensure accurate completion of event paperwork and reporting.
  • Coach teams for proper food preparation and handling procedures.
  • Ensure food quality, freshness, presentation and temperature standards are met.
  • Monitor prep levels based on expected demand and event conditions.
  • Enforce sanitation and food safety standards throughout the event.
  • Lead and support Stand Leaders throughout the event.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and position assignments.
  • Conduct pre‑event Stand Leader check‑ins and briefings.
  • Provide real‑time coaching, feedback, and issue resolution.
  • Escalate staffing or operational concerns when necessary.
  • Ensure alcohol service laws and policies are followed at all times.
  • Support and coach teams on responsible alcohol service practices.
  • Address guest concerns and service issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Document and report incidents as required.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned zone.
  • Communicate effectively via radio and in person with leadership and staff.
  • Anticipate operational challenges based on event dynamics and conditions.
  • Ensure concession stands are properly secured before and after service.
  • Review end‑of‑event cleaning standards and close‑out procedures.
  • Confirm completion and submission of required documentation.
Qualifications / Skills
  • Previous experience in high‑volume food & beverage required.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong operational, communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Valid Serving It Right certification (required).
  • Must be able to work on all mandatory events including any evenings and weekends as necessary.
Other Requirements
  • Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly‑quartered environment.
  • Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
