Position: Front Office Host (Full-Time)

Overview

The Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a Full-Time Front Office Host to join the Front Office team. This is a guest-facing, customer-service oriented role focused on the registration process, communicating hotel services and promotions, processing payments, and responding to guest inquiries. You will be the face of Hyatt as a Front Office Host and have the opportunity to contribute to a positive guest experience.

Starting wage for this position is $26.14 per hour, with progression to $30.49 per hour after 6 months and $34.85 per hour after 1 year.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work various shifts, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (including graveyard shifts) as required by business needs
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Refined and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and be detail-oriented
  • Previous experience with Opera property management system is an asset
  • Previous Front Desk hotel experience is preferred
  • Cash handling experience
  • Basic math skills
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Proven ability to make quick and efficient decisions
  • Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals
  • Ability to upsell – previous experience is an asset

Knowledge of a second language is an asset.

Physical Aspects of Position
  • Constant standing throughout shift
  • Constant writing, typing and computing throughout shift
  • Frequent walking throughout the shift
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps
