Position: Housekeeping Room Attendant at Sandman Hotel Group
Job Overview  Housekeeping Room Attendant – Full‑time, on‑site at Sandman Hotel Group in Vancouver, BC. This role will support daily housekeeping operations, maintain guest rooms to Sandman Hotel standards, and provide exceptional service to guests.
Responsibilities   Clean guest rooms according to Sandman Hotels standards.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of chemicals and cleaning products and their handling procedures.
Respond to guests and staff inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously.
Record and hand over all lost property items to the Supervisor/Manager at the end of the shift.
Report maintenance and safety hazards to the Supervisor/Manager to minimize risk.
Take personal responsibility for equipment, ensuring correct operation and secure storage.
Report any unusual or suspicious persons/activities to management.
Report maintenance issues such as burnt‑out light bulbs.
Check under beds, drawers, and closets for left‑behind items or trash.
Clean sinks and fixtures, restock toiletries, comment cards, coffee, and other amenities.
Clean coffee pots and ensure they are plugged in.
Arrange furniture as used by guests.
Maintain security and privacy of guest rooms.
Perform laundry tasks: collect, sort, transport, dry, fold, and store linens.
Replace and wash all cleaning cloths and maintain linen supply inventory.
Perform mending repairs and general houseperson duties as required.
Qualifications   No education or experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
Ability to follow instruction.
Good communication skills.
Awareness of WHMIS (asset).
Professional appearance and manners.
Capability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.

Time‑management skills.
Adaptability to change and ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
