Catering General Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering General Manager to oversee all aspects of catering operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of food service and hospitality, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role involves coordinating catering events, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and managing daily operations to deliver high-quality catering experiences.

Previous experience in restaurant management, food industry, or hotel settings is highly desirable. The Catering General Manager will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and ensuring client satisfaction through efficient management and innovative service delivery.

• Oversee daily catering operations, including event planning, food preparation, and service execution
• Supervise and lead catering staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
• Coordinate with clients to customize menus and ensure their specific needs are met
• Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining food safety standards in compliance with health regulations
• Ensure timely setup and breakdown of catering events while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization
• Handle cash transactions, POS systems (including Micros POS), and billing processes accurately
• Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Monitor quality control throughout all stages of catering services to uphold brand reputation
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure proper food handling, preparation, and presentation
• Maintain excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Stay updated on industry trends in food service, hospitality, and event management to innovate offerings

• Proven General Manager experience in banquet management or food service industry with supervisory responsibilities minimum 10 years
• Strong leadership abilities with team management skills including interviewing and training staff
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS for cash handling and transaction processing
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively
• Experience in hospitality environments such as hotels or bars (Barista experience is a plus)
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently under pressure in fast-paced settings
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling and event logistics
• Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Knowledge of the food industry trends, restaurant management practices, and kitchen operations
