At UBC, we are looking for a dedicated Banquet Houseperson within our Food Services department. This position requires a valid BC driver’s license and attention to detail as you assist in setting up food and beverage stations for various events. You will play a pivotal role in attending events, providing on-site support, and maintaining safety protocols throughout the campus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Setup and reset event venues for conferences
• Deliver food, beverages, and equipment to venues
• Monitor conference facilities and assist attendees
• Operate audio-visual systems as necessary
• Maintain cleanliness in event spaces and common areas
Requirements:
• High school diploma and valid BC driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 30 kg as required
• Flexible schedule for varied shift timings
• Strong communication skills for guest inquiries
