Executive Housekeeper

A private residence located in Vancouver, BC, is seeking an experienced and highly organized  Executive Housekeeper  to oversee the daily  housekeeping operations and presentation  of an exceptional high-end residence.
This position is ideal for a seasoned private service professional who combines exceptional housekeeping expertise with strong leadership, organizational, and operational skills. The successful candidate will ensure the residence consistently reflects the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, hospitality, and readiness while preserving the warmth and comfort of a private family home.
Working closely with the Estate Manager, the Executive Housekeeper will supervise the housekeeping team, coordinate household inventories, establish operational procedures, oversee preventative maintenance initiatives, and ensure every residence across the estate remains impeccably maintained and fully prepared for the principals and their guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  Housekeeping Operations & Property Presentation   Oversee the daily housekeeping operations throughout the main residence, guest houses, coach houses, and additional property buildings.
Ensure every interior space is maintained to exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, presentation, and functionality.
Conduct regular inspections to verify the estate remains principal-ready and guest-ready at all times.
Develop and oversee seasonal deep-cleaning schedules and preventative housekeeping programs.
Maintain the highest standards in the care of fine furnishings, antiques, artwork, decorative accessories, luxury linens, and delicate household finishes.
Ensure every room reflects the family's preferred standards of presentation and comfort.
Household Inventory & Household Organization   Develop and maintain comprehensive inventories of household furnishings, linens, bedding, towels, tableware, pantry provisions, beverages, cleaning products, guest amenities, household supplies, and seasonal items.
Implement inventory management systems that promote efficiency, accountability, and accurate record keeping.
Proactively replenish household supplies to ensure the residence remains fully stocked at all times.
Rotate pantry items and consumables while monitoring expiration dates to minimize waste.
Maintain organized storage areas and ensure all household items are properly labelled, stored, and documented.
Coordinate seasonal household transitions, storage rotations, and inventory audits.
Residence Care & Preventative Maintenance   Take ownership of the overall presentation and condition of the property.
Perform regular walkthroughs to identify housekeeping deficiencies, maintenance concerns, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Coordinate the care and preservation of specialty surfaces, natural stone, fine wood finishes, upholstery, carpets, luxury textiles, artwork, and decorative elements.
Coordinate specialty cleaning, restoration projects, and seasonal refreshes.
Liaise with maintenance personnel and external contractors to ensure repairs and maintenance work are completed promptly and to the highest standards.
Track maintenance requests and follow projects through to completion.
Household Systems & Quality Standards   Develop, document, and continuously improve housekeeping procedures, operational manuals, inspection programs, and service standards.
Create detailed checklists, inventories, room standards, arrival and departure procedures, and quality control processes.
Establish efficient household routines that ensure operational consistency regardless of occupancy.
Maintain accurate household documentation and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development   Supervise, mentor, train, and support the housekeeping team.
Coordinate daily work schedules and establish priorities according to household requirements.
Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.
Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and ongoing training to maintain exceptional service standards.
Lead by example while promoting pride in workmanship and attention to detail.
