Senior Human Resources Advisor
JUST HRis recruiting for aSenior Advisor Human Resourceson behalf of a growing mining organization based in Vancouver. The company operates within a unique joint venture structure and is building out its own internal HR function for the first time. This role exists to bring hands-on HR expertise in-house. The organization is moving away from a shared-services model and needs a dedicated HR partner to support day-to-day operations, employee relations, and long-term workforce planning.

Responsibilities
- Act as the main HR contact for leaders and employees across the organization
- Provide guidance on performance management, employee relations, and workplace issues
- Interpret and apply employment legislation and internal policies
- Manage seasonal workforce planning and rotation-based employment arrangements
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding for field and office-based staff
- Support recruitment across permanent, temporary, and fixed-term roles
- Assist with offer preparation, employment agreements, and onboarding
- Maintain and optimize HRIS systems, with a focus on ADP
- Coordinate payroll and benefits administration with external providers
- Use HR data and Excel to support reporting and decision-making
- Develop and document HR processes and internal policies
- Collaborate with joint venture partners to align HR practices and decisions
- Lead or contribute to projects like succession planning and organizational development
- Support the organization through change as it grows and evolves
Requirements
- 5+ years of HR experience in advisory or generalist roles
- Strong knowledge of BC employment legislation and HR best practices
- Experience managing employee relations and workplace investigations
- Familiarity with field-based or seasonal work forces
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP strongly preferred)
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data
- Ability to work independently in a small, high-impact team
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Degree in HR, Business, or related field; CPHR designation is an asset
Remuneration
Salary range: $93,000 to $130,000 CAD
