TEEMA's client in Vancouver is seeking their next Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join their team. This person will manage payroll, benefits, and related accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees using Ceridian
- Maintain employee records: new hires, terminations, rate changes, and garnishments
- Reconcile payroll accounts quarterly and annually, including T4 reporting
- Administer benefits programs (extended health, RRSP)
- Collaborate with work sites to resolve time entry issues
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries and process vendor payments
- Identify and implement payroll process improvements
- 5+ years payroll experience
- PCP certification from the Canadian Payroll Association or in the program is ok
- Experience with Ceridian
- Strong Excel and Office 365 skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
