4.0 Tasks and deliverables:
The qualified Firm will fulfill its responsibilities by identifying, engaging and attracting suitable Canadian candidates nationwide with a focus on senior executives at the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors levels from both the public and private sectors. Outreach efforts should engage individuals with relevant expertise such as:
- real estate development
- infrastructure
- housing
- accounting
- legal
- financial
- governance experience, including prior Board service
In alignment with the Government of Canada’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), particular attention should be given to reaching candidates from equity-seeking groups, including Indigenous peoples, visible minorities, persons with disabilities, and members of 2
SLGBTQ+ communities.
The objective is to ensure that strong, qualified, and diverse candidates are engaged, and encouraged to apply to the selection processes. These tasks would include the following:
- Proactively identifying individuals with the leadership experience, sectoral expertise, and governance acumen required to contribute meaningfully to the strategic direction and oversight of emerging and existing organizations.
- Engaging candidates directly through tailored, respectful, and informed one-on-one individual outreach—especially those who may not apply through open postings alone, including individuals from equity-deserving groups, Indigenous leaders, and private-sector executives with limited previous public appointments.
- Attracting top-tier talent by positioning the opportunity in a compelling manner that reflects the public interest mandate, scale of impact, and strategic importance of the roles.
- Acting as a trusted intermediary, building relationships with prospective candidates, answering inquiries, managing expectations, and helping navigate the application and appointment process.
- Strategic advice on candidate suitability and fit, in line with organizational needs and the desired board composition.
- Any unforeseen tasks with regards to this Statement of Work that may arise during the contract will be discussed and mutually agreed upon by all parties.
To provide executive search and candidate sourcing services over the next calendar year. These activities include:
- Candidate Identification:
Research and identify suitable candidates for leadership and key positions within the Client’s portfolio. - Candidate Attraction:
Engage and attract identified candidates through appropriate outreach strategies. - Candidate Presentation and Advisory:
Present recommended candidates to the Client, accompanied by a rationale outlining why candidate is suitable for the role/organization.
