Our client is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to support a Minerals business across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

This individual will be an active member of the HR leadership team and will partner closely with business leaders and General Managers across the Metals & Minerals portfolio. The role will blend strategic HR leadership with hands‑on execution, supporting business transformation, organizational growth, employee engagement, talent strategy, and leadership development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build trusted, strategic relationships with business leaders and act as a key HR advisor
  • Partner with leaders to support organizational design, workforce planning, and business transformation
  • Develop and execute talent strategies aligned with business goals
  • Coach and advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, succession planning, and talent development
  • Support the development of leadership capability across the organization
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence on initiatives related to talent management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, recruitment, and performance management
  • Support change management initiatives and the rollout of HR programs across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR programs, processes, and employee experience
  • Lead and support a small HR team, including HR Generalists and an HR Coordinator
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HR experience
  • 10+ years of Human Resources experience
  • 7+ years of HR Business Partner experience
  • Experience partnering with C‑suite or senior business leaders
  • Experience supporting business transformation, scaling, and growth
  • Experience working across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico
  • Strong understanding of Canadian, U.S., and Mexican employment laws
  • Experience designing and executing talent strategies
  • Strong coaching, influencing, communication, and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
Travel
  • Travel as required for meetings
