Conveyancing Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to manage real estate files from start to finish in a busy, well-established practice.

This role is focused exclusively on residential transactions. If you enjoy running organized, efficient files and keeping deals moving smoothly toward completion, this may be an excellent fit.

Key Responsibilities

You will handle residential real estate transactions independently, including:

  • Preparing purchase, sale, and mortgage documentation for Land Title registration

  • Registering transfers, mortgages, and discharges through LTSA

  • Ordering and reviewing mortgage payout statements

  • Preparing discharge documentation and reporting to purchaser’s counsel

  • Conducting title and off-title searches (tax certificates, corporate searches where applicable, PPR searches, etc.)

  • Reviewing purchase and sale agreements and coordinating deposits, adjustments, and payouts

  • Preparing trust documentation and internal transaction records

  • Drafting reporting letters and completion summaries

  • Communicating directly with clients, realtors, lenders, financial institutions, and opposing counsel

  • Preparing and filing Land Owner Transparency Registry (LOTR) declarations where required

  • Assisting with registration of liens and other charges against title when necessary

  • You will have ownership of your files while working within a collaborative team environment.

    Qualifications

  • Paralegal or Legal Administrative Assistant diploma from a recognized institution

  • Minimum 2+ years of recent residential conveyancing experience in BC

  • Strong knowledge of LTSA processes and closing procedures

  • Experience with ESILaw, Net Documents, and Microsoft Office considered an asset

  • Ability to manage a high volume of files and meet multiple deadlines

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and prioritization skills

  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
